The NexGen product’s main role is to promote plant growth and health by increasing the efficiency of nutrient absorption, enhancing tolerance to environmental and biotic stress, improving quality traits, and facilitating the availability of nutrients in the soil or rhizosphere. These microbial plant biostimulants can be conveniently applied through various methods such as foliar spray treatment, drip irrigation, drench treatment, and incorporation into growing media.

These products are microbial plant biostimulants in liquid formulation.

Concentrations:

Ready to spray: ≈10^8 cells/ml

Concentrate: ≈10^9 cells/ml Prepare by performing a 1 in 10 (1:10) dilution i.e., 1L of product into 9L of water / per ¼  Hectare (Ha).

Super concentrate: ≈10^10 cells/ml Prepare by performing a 1 in 100 (1:100) dilution i.e., 1L of product into 99 L of water / per Hectare (Ha).

Biostimulation

NexGen Bacilli (active ingredient Bacillus subtilis)

Bacillus subtilis is a highly beneficial bacterium that plays a crucial role in sustainable agriculture. It offers numerous advantages for crop production and soil health improvement. This bacterium is known for its ability to enhance plants' tolerance towards both biotic and abiotic stresses through various mechanisms such as induced systemic resistance, biofilm formation, and lipopeptide production. Bacillus subtilis forms a symbiotic relationship with both the phyllosphere and roots or rhizosphere of plants, creating biofilms that consist of a matrix composed of exopolysaccharides and proteins. These biofilms indirectly protect plants by inducing systemic resistance, ultimately leading to increased plant growth and higher crop yields. Overall, Bacillus subtilis is a valuable ally in sustainable agriculture practices.

NexGen Tricho (active ingredient Trichoderma Harzianum)

Trichoderma is a versatile fungal genus that can be found all around the world. This group of fungi has caught the attention of the agricultural industry due to their ability to control harmful fungi through direct antagonism and competition. What sets some strains of Trichoderma apart is their unique biostimulant action, making them highly valuable in horticulture. These fungi can colonize plant roots without causing any harm. The way Trichoderma stimulates plant growth involves a complex communication system with both the root and shoot systems. They release substances such as auxins, small peptides, volatiles, and other metabolites into the soil, which encourage root branching and enhance nutrient uptake. This ultimately leads to improved plant growth and higher yields. Trichoderma also plays a role in boosting the plant's natural defence mechanisms against both biotic and abiotic stresses. NexGen Yeast (active ingredient Saccharomyces cerevisiae)

Saccharomyces cerevisiae rapidly colonises plant surfaces and possess the ability to utilize nutrients from various sources. Additionally, they have the unique characteristic of being able to survive in a wide range of temperatures without producing harmful metabolites. This makes Saccharomyces cerevisiae an ideal candidate for use as a plant biostimulant, offering numerous benefits through both direct and indirect mechanisms. In terms of direct mechanisms, Saccharomyces cerevisiae can provide plants with soluble nutrients, as well as produce organic acids and phytohormones such as indole-3-acetic acid. Indirectly, they act as defending agents against fungal pathogens. Furthermore, Saccharomyces cerevisiaes can also help in soil bioremediation and act as protective agents against extreme environmental conditions by activating plant defence mechanisms. With these advantages, the use of Saccharomyces cerevisiaes holds great promise as an environmentally friendly solution to enhance crop production.

Optimum conditions

NexGen products should be used preventatively, so that the microbes have enough time to colonize the rhizosphere (plant roots) and/or the phyllosphere (foliage). Application specific information

Our NexGen products are designed for biostimulation of plants and can be used on a wide range of crops, including both edible and non-edible varieties. Whether you have indoor or outdoor plants, our products are suitable for both environments. The application methods for our NexGen products are versatile and convenient. You can choose to spray or drench the plants, apply them through drip irrigation, or mix them directly into the growing medium. This flexibility allows for easy integration into your existing plant care routine. With our NexGen products, you can enhance the growth and health of your plants, regardless of the type or location.

Timing

NexGen products should be used preventatively. Treat growing media at sowing, transplanting and/or planting stage. Repeat the treatment at the intervals of 2 to 8 (minimum) weeks. Use the shorter intervals under conditions of moderate (4 weeks) to high stress (2 weeks).

To ensure maximum effectiveness, it is advised to repeat the treatment every 2 to 8 weeks. However, if the conditions are characterized by moderate to high stress levels, it is best to opt for the shorter interval between treatments. By following these guidelines, you can ensure that NexGen products provide optimal benefits and support for your plants, helping them thrive and withstand any potential challenges that may arise.

DO NOT EXCEED the maximum 10 day interval rates between treatments, i.e. the shortest acceptable interval rate is 10 days.

Mixing

Our NexGen products are provided and must always be used as a liquid formulation and mixed into either water (recommended) or pre-diluted liquid fertilisers and/or macronutrients.

Drench treatments

NexGen products can be applied via drip irrigation systems either through a mixing tank or a separate injection pump. To incorporate the products into the growing medium, mix 1L of concentrate with 1000 litres of the medium. Shake the bottle for 30 seconds, then pour into the water and mix well to ensure even distribution. If there is a risk of high stress use the shorter interval rate of 2 weeks. The longer interval rate of 8 weeks is suitable for cases where minimal stress is expected.

Compatibility 

The NexGen products are designed as microbial plant biostimulants, aimed at enhancing plant growth and health. However, it is important to note that these products can be weakened by residues or subsequent applications of other products, especially chemical pesticides targeted at microorganisms. In order to ensure the effectiveness and compatibility of these biostimulants, it is recommended to consult the manufacturer or distributor regarding the use of other chemical or microbial products within a crop management program. This step will help in preventing any potential inefficacy in biostimulation.

NexGen products should not be mixed with any chemical pesticides, concentrated fertilizer solutions, or concentrated macronutrients. They can be safely used in integrated pest and disease control systems as they do not harm beneficial insects. NexGen species have been successfully applied to various crops in different conditions without any signs of phytotoxicity.

Storage

NexGen products are unique biological preparations that contain microbial cells. It is specially designed to be used as an agricultural and horticultural microbial bio stimulant. It is important to store NexGen products properly to ensure its effectiveness. When stored between +4-14°C, it can be kept for up to one year. However, if the temperature is between 15°C -25°C, it can only be stored for six months. It may be necessary to follow the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations when using this product in the workplace only. There are also specific restrictions that need to be adhered to. For instance, the maximum concentration should not exceed 1L of super concentrate per 100 Litres of water when used as a spray per Hectare(Ha).

Safety precautions

Operator

Safety precautions are necessary when handling and applying this product. It is important for operators to wear appropriate protective clothing such as coveralls, gloves, and respiratory protective equipment. The respiratory protective equipment should have a disposable respirator filter that meets at least EN 149 PPF2 or equivalent standards. However, if engineering controls are in place and provide an equal or better level of protection, personal protective equipment may not be necessary. In case of exposure or feeling unwell, it is advised to immediately contact a poison centre or doctor. While using the product, it is important not to eat, drink, or smoke. Additionally, precautions should be taken to avoid getting the product in the eyes or on the skin. If it does happen, rinse the affected area with water for several minutes. It is also important to wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling the product.

Operators must adhere to strict safety protocols when using broadcast air-assisted sprayers. It is crucial that the operator's working position is confined to a closed cab on a tractor or a self-propelled sprayer. Additionally, operators must wear appropriate protective clothing, including coveralls, gloves, and respiratory protective equipment. The respiratory equipment should be a disposable filtering facepiece respirator that meets the EN149 FFP3 standard or an equivalent. However, it is important to note that engineering controls may be used instead of personal protective equipment if a COSHH assessment determines that they offer the same or higher level of protection. Ensuring compliance with these guidelines is essential for the safety and well-being of operators when handling and applying the product.

Environmental protection

Environmental protection is of utmost importance when it comes to using and disposing of this product. It is crucial to avoid contaminating water by not cleaning any application equipment near surface water or allowing drains from farmyards and roads to be contaminated. Users of broadcast air-assisted sprayers who do not apply the required buffer zone are required to conduct an independent Environmental Risk Assessment for microbial biostimulants before each spraying operation. In general, it is recommended that the spray from these sprayers does not fall within 12m of the top of any static or flowing waterbody or within 6m of a dry ditch during application. The risk assessment may indicate that a smaller buffer zone is sufficient, as long as all the measures stated in the assessment are followed and any applicable conditions are met. Furthermore, it is crucial to ensure that the spray is directed away from water to minimize risks to aquatic life.

Storage and disposal

It is essential to keep this product away from food, drink, and animal feedstuffs, and out of reach of children. To ensure safety, it should be stored in a closed container in a dry place. When it comes to disposal, it is recommended to dispose of the contents and container through a licensed hazardous waste disposal contractor or collection site. However, clean empty containers can be disposed of as non-hazardous waste. The bottles should be thoroughly cleaned and washed thrice with a detergent (i.e., washing up liquid) and a minimum soaking stage of 5 mins in each wash stage should be upheld to ensure the inactivation of microbial residues prior to disposing as non-hazardous waste. Taking these precautions will help protect our environment from contamination.
